Marketing Manager
Crowdfunder is on the lookout for an energetic, creative, and purpose-driven Marketing Manager to help us amplify the stories behind some of the UK’s most incredible fundraising projects. You’ll create a strategy to engage and grow our vibrant community of project owners and supporters, driving connection and positive change.
The role
This is a dynamic role that blends strategic planning, content creation, and data analysis. You’ll lead the way in creating a communications strategy that connects with and inspires our audience of project creators and supporters. You’ll share the stories of projects that are making a positive impact, foster loyal and meaningful relationships with our community, and help to expand Crowdfunder’s reach.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver an engaging CRM strategy for our project supporters, encouraging more people to back multiple projects.
- Build and engage a cohort of Brand Ambassadors who will help spread the word about Crowdfunder’s mission and impact.
- Design and execute a CRM strategy for project owners, ensuring their success on our platform.
- Lead targeted lead-generation campaigns, attracting medium-sized charities and not-for-profits that align with our mission, and track results to continuously improve.
- Coordinate and manage our CRM calendar, working closely with the marketing team to keep messaging consistent, meaningful, and impactful.
About you
- You’ve got solid experience planning and managing a CRM strategy, and you’re comfortable with data analysis to optimise campaigns and track performance.
- You’re a relationship-builder, and know how to inspire trust and collaboration.
- You’re creative yet strategic, with the ability to craft messages and campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences.
- You’re a self-starter who’s adaptable and excited to learn new things as you go. You take initiative, spot opportunities to improve, and work well in a small but dynamic team.
- Crowdfunder’s mission aligns with your personal values and you have first-hand experience of making a positive difference.

Our application and interview process
1. Application
We encourage you to put a little thought into your application as this is how we’ll start to assess whether we’re the right fit for each other. Your answers to our questions are as important as your CV - and we don’t mind if you use AI to enhance your answers, but you’ll stand out if we can see your personality shine through!
2. Screening call
This will be a 20-30 minute video call with Maria (People & Places) to get to know you and what you’re looking for in your next role, to answer any questions you might have, and to make sure we align on all the basics.
3. Technical interview
This will be a one-hour interview with Sam (Growth Marketing Director) and another member of the team. We’ll ask you to prepare some kind of practical task in advance, which you’ll present and discuss. This might be a short presentation where you explain your approach to a specific scenario or a list of questions to think about in advance.
4. Values interview
The final stage is a one-hour conversation with two more members of the Crowdfunder team, where the focus will be who you are as a team member. We’ll talk about your personal strengths and approach to work, how you communicate and collaborate with others, and alignment with our company values: united for good, think creatively, always be human, and empower greatness.
Reasonable adjustments: If you need any support or adjustments during the interview process, please let us know in your application.
About Crowdfunder
Crowdfunder is a fundraising platform on a mission to spread positivity across the globe and we’re excited to be expanding. We are dedicated to turning innovative community ideas into reality, connecting project creators with passionate backers to go beyond the confines of traditional fundraising.
Our values - united for good, think creatively, always be human, empower greatness - are at the heart of everything we do. You’ll be part of a passionate and innovative team that is dedicated to making our world a better place.
Inclusion and diversity
Crowdfunder is tackling society's challenges, by making ideas happen. We connect projects that matter to people and companies who care.
We’re here to support diverse communities and to provide a platform for those who want to be heard; amplifying voices and impact is what we do.
We value the fact that each one of us is different, with different perspectives - and we want to reflect the diversity of the crowd we serve.
We recognise that we don’t all start from the same place - because advantages and barriers exist - but through Crowdfunder and crowdfunding, we believe we can offer greater equality of opportunity.
We’re creating an inclusive workplace culture, based on fairness, respect and honesty, because we believe leveraging differences achieves better results and better serves our crowd, our partners and our communities.
As part of that, we’re committed to educating ourselves, and each other, on gender, race, faith, disability, age, sexual orientation and other areas of diversity to ensure everyone is welcome and feels valued in our workplace as well as in our wider Crowdfunder community.
We recognise that ‘diversity and inclusion’ is not something that we will ever ‘achieve’. It’s not a box that can ever be ticked as ‘100% done’.
Diversity and inclusion is an ongoing journey of big steps and small nudges that will create a richer community and place to work and help us be a better business.
We’re proud to be on that journey together.
